Ingredients:
1 pound lean flank steak, cut 1/8" thick.
2 T Canola oil
1/2 small onion (Chopped finely)
2 - 4 Cloves of garlic (Fresh and halved)
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
3 Beef Bouillon cubes
1 C hot water
15 oz canned tomatoe sauce (no salt)
2 medium green peppers, sliced thinly into rings.
2 T reduced salt soy sauce
2 T cornstarch
1/4 C cold water
Instructions:
Brown meat slowly in hot fat. Add onion and garlic the last few minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Dissolve bouillon cube in hot water. Add to meat mixture. Cover, simmer until tender (approximately 1 hour). Add tomatoe sauce and green peppers. Cook 10 min. Combine cornstarch, cold water, and soy sauce in bowl. Slowly add to meat mixture. Bring to a boil. Constantly stir, and cook over medium heat for 5 min. Remove garlic halves, serve over rice.
