Reduce the risk of cramps when walking:

• Avoid heavy meals before a walk
• Sip water rather than gulp it
• Use energy drinks with less than 1 oz (24g) of carbohydrate per 10 fl oz (300 ml) of fluid – they are easier to digest.
• Hold your stomach comfortably taut while walking
