Marijuana is a green, brown, or gray mix of dried, shredded leaves, stems, seeds, and flowers of the hemp plant. Marijuana is usually smoked as a cigarette, or in a pipe or bong, or in blunts which are cigars that have been emptied of tobacco and refilled with marijuana, sometimes in combination with another drug, such as crack. Marijuana can also be mixed into foods or used to brew a tea. Marijuana is illegal in the United States.

Medical Marijuana is legal in many states though such as California. I recently heard that they are now trying to pass legislation in the state of California to make Marijuana completely legal for recreational use in California too. I think one of their motives for pushing it to be legal is the state of California is in a serious financial crisis and by legalizing Marijuana it would raise millions of dollars in tax revenues for the state. Secondly it would bring down the price and make it hard for people who smuggle in Marijuana to compete which could have a slight impact on those drug wars in Mexico, although there are many other drugs besides Marijuana that I am sure they are bringing into the United States.
