Three Main Types of Vegetarians
- Lacto-ovo vegetarians - people who only eat plant-based foods, dairy products, and eggs.
- Lacto-vegetarians - people who only eat plant-based foods and dairy products, but do not eat eggs.
- Vegans - people who only eat plant-based foods, no meat, no animal products, and no dairy products and eggs.
NOTE:
Be sure to know that if you don't eat eggs or drink milk, you need to look elsewhere for the nutrients calcium, vitamin D, vitamin B12, and complete protein. You also need to make sure that you get enough iron and zinc.
